Referenced Memory Cannot Be ReadI loaded a video game and it won't run because of the following error: the instruction @ 0x7c911404 referenced memory @ oxffffffff9 cannot be "read". I am also trying to download vidoes from ITunes onto my ipod, and it won't show.. When I tried downloading the ITunes 6 version again on the computer it gave me a similar error message as above (maybe not the exact same numbers, but it was an .exe file that could not be read.. Do I have a driver issue on this computer? I tried downloading a recent VGA driver after talking to the game manufacturer support center, but it's still not working. They gave up trying to help me with this error. Please help if you can. Theresa Theresa, There are two possibilities for this error. One is the memory board could be failing on you. Although it is possible, it is highly unlikely. The real culprit is most like a piece of spyware or a virus. Several have been known to cause errors such as you are seeing. Even if you already have an anti-virus program running on your computer, I would suggest you scan it again with a different program. TrendMicro offers both a free virus and spyware scan. Start with the virus scan and follow it with the spyware scan.
