Different units of the National Guard from Louisiana and other states have been helping residents remove appliances and other large pieces of furniture from homes. There is a waiting list and it may take thirty days or more before a unit can come to your home.

If you would like to be placed on the waiting list, please fill out the information below and someone will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

You must enter Yes in the box below to signify that you are requesting assistance with the removal of white goods from your home.

Hi, really appreciate your site. Lots of info. we St. Bernardiens need. In the very beginning our officials and others said to insist that our homeowners ins. pay up because it was "wind driven waters" but I really haven't heard anything since. It is hard to insist when your dealing with the ins. co. Also my homeowners which still hasn't settled says that for the displacement part of the policy pays for only 14 days, but we're still unable to return to our homes to live. What gives?

Thanks,
David

I have my complete furniture and belongings stored in the Arabi Self Storage; and have been trying to gain access since Katrina hit- to no avail. The place is located on 7405 W. St Bernard Hwy. None of the place telephone numbers work.
I have found out that the property owner-on tax roles- is Brian Fitzpatrick. Can you please help me find a way to get in touch with this owner so I can remove my belongings. Any information would be helpful! I may be contacted on cell at 504-289-7123.

Please ask someone to be clear about what we have to do to have our homes demolished. Does anything have to be removed from the house? What? How much time do we have to do this?
The parish seems to be saying if we're not ready they won't demolish the house for free. How do we know when to be ready?
